We have hundreds of wonderful reviews but here is a small selection:
“Found this delightful chateau on the web and booked it as a half way stop between Edinburgh and the Auvergne in France because it looked good, was conveniently situated just 40 minutes drive from Calais and was decidedly affordable. We were not disappointed. Francis and his son Cedric are so lovely and attentive and the rooms...they are simply gorgeous - huge and luxurious. It's like a 5 star but better. We got caught up Dover and ended up rocking up around 10pm but they still made us a fab meal. Needless to say, we booked it for the return leg. Rather than just a pit stop on a long and tedious journey, staying there was an extension of our holiday. Definitely going back.”
“Cedric was the perfect host. We received a warm welcome extended also to our hound Charley. We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden and slept extremely well. Both dinner and breakfast were very good. And the back garden was perfect for Charley, safe, secure and large enough for her to stretch her legs. Cedric gifted us some play toys for our dog and we got some beautiful Belgian chocolates from Nicholas, Cedric’s father as we checked out. So kind.”
“Lovely restored property very reasonably priced The evening meal option is recommended and the breakfast excellent. We travel and book hotels at random and finding gems like this is one of the advantages We would definitely return. The owners are lovely people and justifiably proud of their restored property ”
