The Atelier is a fantastic barn conversion situated in a quiet lane just off the wonderful village square. The village of Tremolat is on the Pilgrim Route to Compostela and is typical of the ancient stone buildings of the area. Tucked away, this two bedroom barn accommodates 4 guests with two comfortable bedrooms with their own en-suite bathrooms. The owners have restored the property to a high standard with traditional features and modern comforts. Guests are treated to a welcome pack full of goodies to start their holiday in style.
The open-plan living area provides a light and airy space for entertaining or relaxing. Step outside onto the sunny terrace where the sheltered and private garden hosts a really calming space to unwind. Why not cool off from the warmth of the sun in the swimming pool or relax with the family on the terrace or large sunbathing deck furnished with wooden sunbeds.
The location couldn't be better with a local bakery just a short walk away, perfect for the delicious breads and pastries each morning. There is a bar and cafe close by in the village where you can just watch the world go by and a Michelin star restaurant for those special occasions. For your comfort we provide Egyptian Cotton bedding, Large bath sheets and hand towels for house use and Pool towels for use in the garden.
The garden is fully fenced for privacy and there is a dining area and barbeque. The inviting pool is for the exclusive use of our guests.
The Atelier is perfectly placed to visit all the prehistoric sites, vineyards, chateaux and great restaurants which abound in this region and yet a peaceful retreat at the end of the day.
Once a week a small market takes place in the square, stock up on local delicacies like cheeses, vegetables and strawberries. Foie gras and truffles are a gastronomic delight in this area of France, local shops are bursting with treats to entertain your taste-buds. There is so much to do in the local area, from wine tours to chateaux to hot-air balloon trips. The Dordogne region, rich in history is a truly exciting area to explore. The local towns with historical buildings nestled into the hillsides of the river are definitely worth a visit.
