Each yurt takes on its own unique style and charm, lovingly created to ensure that your stay is calming and enjoyable. Created from willow grown on their own plantation, each one is far more than just a bedroom.
Le Grand Abri Hideaway is the original hideaway perched on the hillside, it offers stunning views across the valley and beyond. Relax on the rustic deck during the day and soak up the sun, or cosy up under the stars with a glass of wine.
La Cabuche Hideaway is ideal for nature lovers, with its view across the cereal and sunflower fields and the sound of the wind flurries through the crops just 10 paces from your yurt. The spacious bedroom has been beautifully furnished, with the veranda and kitchen hand-built with wood sourced from a local forest. The yurt was inspired by architecture from the Soloman Islands where Matt grew up. Stay here and you can watch nature from the comfort of your own yurt and enjoy the birds and wildlife that love to visit.
Situated along a quiet track past the small flock of sheep is The Bodgers' Hideaway, a romantic location hidden in the woods for peace and tranquillity. The yurt has a welcoming and cosy feel, yet spacious for two. Decorated with solar fairy lights and gorgeous bedlinen, with it's hobbit house styled summer kitchen, this romantic getaway is one not to be missed. Enjoy lazing in the hammocks listening to the birds in the trees or experience one of the many memorable sunsets from the secluded deck that you’ll discover on the edge of the little wood.
La Cachette is nestled away amongst the trees but still offers amazing views of the rolling hills and farmland beyond. The kitchen, a renovated horsebox is one of the many delights of this rustic and simple accommodation. This hideaway has a more compact and cosy design but all the essential elements for a fabulous getaway are still very much in place and you’re sure to enjoy taking a solar shower amongst the trees.
Fresh air, fun and excitement are guaranteed so book up an experience of a lifetime and stay under the stars in these wonderful yurts.
There are many 5 star reviews but here are just a few:
"We stayed in the woods in Bodgers, It was so peaceful. The little hobbit kitchen was beautiful the whole thing built by craftspeople. I loved sitting on Tim's deck. I loved this part of our holiday after a busy and hectic summer it was just what we needed. Well recommended. Our hosts were really friendly and we enjoyed the produce from their garden and the delicious cake that Wendy made for us."
"Through a local friend a group of us took over Quirky Camping for a reunion and had a fantastic week. I stayed in a yurt and it was an amazing experience. The views were to die for, it was just so peaceful and comfortable, the birds kept me entertained and the night skies were clear. Wendy and Matt were fantastic hosts, we were also lucky enough to sample Wendy's food - I need the recipe for the courgette and mint soup! Thank you so much, and I'll be back!"
"Absolutely love this place. 2nd time I've been in 4 years. The owners Matt & Wendy are great, so friendly and helpful. The yurts are excellent, and whole experience is liberating. This is ideal for the seasoned camper or novice. Plenty to do in the surrounding region too if you have a car."
