BOOKING CONDITIONS: The hirer will be responsible for ensuring that all persons attending will be aware of these conditions. Bookings: Telephone, fax or email bookings will be held for seven days pending receipt of the booking deposit and the booking form. Bookings are held for seven days to allow time the booking form to be completed, printed and sent and for the deposit to be received. The booking cannot be confirmed until both are received. If for any reason you are not able to print off a booking form, please let us know and one will be sent to you by post. Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable on booking, with the balance, plus damage/security deposit, to be paid no later than eight weeks prior to the date of arrival. Unless the balance and security deposit are paid by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. Damage/security deposit: A deposit of £250.00 is required to cover any breakages and cleaning, in the event that they not are left in a condition comparable to that of the guests’ arrival. This deposit must be paid with the final balance. Charges for damage, breakages, outstanding bills and any extra cleaning required if the property is left in an unacceptable state will be taken from your damage deposit. The damage/security deposit will be refunded, in sterling, by credit transfer directly into a bank account nominated by you within 4 weeks of your departure. Maximum occupancy: The people accepted at the property are only those named on the booking form. Parking a caravan or pitching a tent in the grounds is strictly forbidden at any of the properties. Additional guests are not permitted without the owners prior consent. Additional overnight guests are not allowed. Failure to observe these conditions could result in your party being asked to leave the premises. Arriving and leaving: You are asked not to arrive at the property before 17.00 hrs (unless stated otherwise) on the day of arrival and to leave by 10:00 hrs on the day of departure. If you know that you will be arriving later than 18.00 hrs in the evening, please let us know in good time so that arrangements can be made for the keys. Failure to do this could result in the property being locked when you arrive. Any visitors still at the property by 12.00 hrs on their departure day, without prior permission from the owner, will be liable for one extra day's charge which will be deducted from the damage/security deposit. If you are unable to arrive at a reasonable time or wish to leave before 07:00 hrs, please notify the owners beforehand. If you arrive at an unreasonable hour without notification and are unable to gain access to the property, we cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred for alternative overnight accommodation Linen: Clean linen (a change of towels, tea towels and bed linen) will be supplied each week (Saturday). You are asked to place all dirty linen (belonging to the property) into the receptacle provided on Saturday morning. Leaving the property in good order: Your accommodation will be fully cleaned prior to your occupation. Guests will be expected to keep the accommodation clean during their stay and leave them in the condition in which they found them. You agree to keep the holiday home in its entirety clean and in as good order as at the commencement of your holiday. You also agree to compensate the property owner for any breakages incurred during your holiday. You must also leave the property and furniture in the same arrangement and condition as when you arrive. Basic cleaning between lettings is included in your holiday price, but the owner reserves the right to deduct the cost of any extra cleaning above and beyond this from the damage/security deposit. Cancellation:
More than 90 days = 25% 90 - 57 days = 50% 56 - 0 days = 100% CANCELLATION BY PROPERTY OWNER. If for any reason your holiday has to be cancelled by the property owner, any monies paid by the hirer will be refunded. FORCE MAJEUR: We do not accept liability in any circumstances where performance of the contract is prevented by reason of: war or threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activities, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions, acts of God, closure of ports or airports, epidemics, government action or any similar events outside our control Complaints: If any problems arise regarding your accommodation, then you, the holidaymaker, must try to resolve them during your stay at the property. Access to the property: The owner of the holiday home or his/her representative shall be allowed any reasonable access to the property during the holiday tenancy by appointment except in case of emergency. If there are any other reasons why access may be required (e.g. in the case of adverse weather conditions) you will be notified of this possibility upon arrival. Insurance: We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance. This can save you much heartache and money, if, for example, you should need to cancel the holiday at a later date. Also, under French law, the hirer can be held responsible for any damage (flood, fire etc...) at the property (art. 1732 of the French Code Civil). Therefore, the client MUST ensure every person in the party is covered by a comprehensive insurance policy, particularly with regards to public and third-party liability, since the owner's insurance does not cover these risks. We strongly advise every member of the party to have full cover for the party's personal belongings as well as cancellation cover and breakdown insurance if on a self drive holiday. The owners do not accept any liability for any losses that may be incurred for which insurance is available. If you are a UK resident, please ensure you bring a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) in case of medical emergencies. Swimming pool: Our pool complies fully with the French law and AFNOR standards relating to swimming pool safety and security. It is equipped with a solar powered, automatic roller cover operated by a key which conforms to AFNOR safety standard NF P90-308. At a convenient point after arrival the hirer will be given full instructions on how to operate the roller cover and must comply with the rules given, for the safety of his own party and the community. The pool will not be available for use until this has been done. Any failure to comply will result in the pool being closed and unavailable for use. A €45,000 fine can be imposed on owners of pools which do not comply with law so it is vital that the pool is secure at all times when not in use. Pets: Regretfully, no pets are allowed. Guide dogs and other assistance dogs excepted. Smoking: Is STRICTLY forbidden inside the property. You may smoke in the garden or grounds providing any cigarette/tobacco remains are disposed of responsibly. Fosse Septique: The property is connected to a “fosse septique” for disposal of sewerage and grey water. This is perfectly normal in rural France. NOTHING is to be flushed into the fosse septique that is not totally biodegradable. Under no circumstances should sanitary towels, tampons, tissues, non-French toilet paper, nappies, cotton wool, kitchen paper, bleach, biological washing powders or excess kitchen waste be put down any toilet or sink. Any costs incurred as a result of not compliance (unblocking, pumping out, reactivation of bacteria etc) shall be deducted from the security deposit. Prices: Except where otherwise stated, all high season holidays will include electricity, oil and water. However, excessive use of any of these services may incur an additional charge. If bottled gas is supplied, (e.g. for a barbecue or heater) you will be expected to renew/maintain your own supply throughout your stay. For winter lets (November to April) or long term lets (with reduced rates) an additional weekly charge may be levied to cover extra heating costs. Payment: Payment of the balance of the holiday charge should be made at the latest eight (8) weeks before commencement of the holiday. Failure to pay by the due date could lead to holiday cancellation with loss of deposit. All prices quoted are per property, per week, and are subject to amendment at any time. However, once a deposit is paid, there will be no alteration to the price quoted at the time of booking. Finally: The Property Owners or their representatives reserve the right to terminate the Tenancy immediately if any of the above conditions are not observed. These terms and conditions may be subject to amendment without prior notice |
